A Consideration of all bodies

A Consideration of All Bodies

The LAB Gallery presented A Consideration of All Bodies, a group exhibition of work by Declan Byrne, Philip Kenny, Paul Moore, Hugh O’Donnell and Áine O’Hara. All the artists and the curator had disabilities.

Images of the artworks were shared on Instagram @aconsiderationofallbodies

A Consideration of All Bodies contemplated disabled people’s bodies and their ways of navigating a world designed for non-disabled bodies. Rather than explicitly referencing disability, the artworks in the exhibition reflected the artists’ experiences of interacting with their environments. The artists examined bodies—their own and those of others—asking what support bodies need and how this support might change in the future.

The exhibition was supported by Dublin City Council, ARC at IADT, Arts & Disability Ireland and the Arts Council. The artists featured in the exhibition were also supported in making their work by A4 Sounds’ We Only Want the Earth programme and Flax Art Studios.

This show featured my works 'The patient will see you now', mixed media installation, 2020 and The patient will see you now', archival print on paper, 84cm x 56cm, 2021 as well as an online performance piece.
